In partnership with Bodytree Studio, Asia De Cuba have launched ‘Feed Your Soul’, a yoga night that takes place by the beach at Asia De Cuba, followed by a detox menu. Launched only this week, Feed Your Soul takes place every Monday night at 6.15pm, and this week I went along to try it out.
The yoga area is all set up on the lawns outside Asia De Cuba, with stunning sunset views across the beach and water over to Marina Breakwater.
Once everyone has arrived and taken their places, the yoga class begins! It’s an hour-long yoga class consisting of a variety of basic and more challenging moves, but is very accessible for all levels.
As the weather begins to heat up a little it’ll be perfect – it was still a bit on the chilly side in the evening at the end of February.
There’s no argument that it’s a lovely environment, and there’s really something very comforting and calming to the soul about practising yoga outdoors. And although the softness of the grass can make balancing a little trickier at times I actually quite liked this, as it was much more forgiving on the knees than the usual studio floors.
Once the yoga session is completed, it’s then time to move over to the cabana area for a detox dinner by the beach.
The menu is planned to change on a monthly basis, but is a set menu made of three fresh and healthy courses. There is also a vegetarian option available.
The evening is a lovely idea for a healthy and active night out with friends (men and women can attend), and it’s a great alternative to many of the more indulgent options available in the city.
Priced at Dhs180 per person plus taxes, this includes both yoga and a specially designed three course set detox menu with fruit-infused water and a healthy mocktail.
Taking place every Monday, 6.15pm at Asia De Cuba on the Corniche, for more information or to book get in touch with Bodytree Studio.
