So how DO you get access to the best and most luxurious beach clubs in the UAE? Sure, you could pay for a day pass to access the beach, but given this can set you back anything from Dhs150 on a weekend to Dhs450 plus for just one person, the costs soon mount up. And what about the hotels that keep their beaches exclusively for guests only? Well, there’s no getting into those unless you’re staying at the actual hotel. At least, that was the case before the Privilee membership programme came along!

Saadiyat Beach Club

Privilee membership means that instead of picking just one beach club and joining for a year, or shelling out each week for a lounger on the best beach in the UAE you can get the same benefits and access to numerous beach clubs all under one membership! So when Privilee finally launched here in Abu Dhabi back in October 2016, I couldn’t wait to try it out!

And even better than a beach club membership, it can actually save you money! Yep, so much more than just a beach club membership, Privilee membership also includes kids club access and members also receive food and beverage discounts at many of the hotels restaurants (and some bars!) with as much as 25% discount on some outlets!

And again, as if that’s not good enough, Privilee members also receive free access to participating hotel gyms, discounts on spa treatments – with up to 20% in Abu Dhabi and up to 30% in Dubai – AND free access to tennis and squash courts where available!

I mean come on – you had me at ‘beach access’! 😀

If we want to get really fancy about it I suppose we might call it a ‘lifestyle membership’, because they’ve just about thought of everything to make sure we can all keep on living the expat dream in the sun! 😉

And that’s it. There’s no catch! Just sign up, choose your payment option and as soon as you receive your membership card, away you go!

As a family we’ve certainly enjoyed making the most of it and trying out different hotels and beaches for size! It’s perfect if you love the beach, food, sports and if you have kids (and even if you don’t!). Unless you like to stay indoors and pretty much never leave the house, I can’t think of anyone it’s not a great idea for!

While the portfolio of hotels is growing in Abu Dhabi, if you fancy a day trip to Dubai you can take your pick from a huge number of hotels who are part of the programme there too.

Current Privilee properties in Abu Dhabi include:

Ritz Carlton Grand Canal • St. Regis Saadiyat • St. Regis Abu Dhabi • Saadiyat Beach Club • Fairmont Bab Al Bahr • Le Meridien Abu Dhabi

You can find further details and the full listings of which beach clubs are included on the Privilee UAE website.

I was invited by Privilee UAE to try their membership but all views are my own. If you choose to sign up via any of the links in this post you’ll be assisting me in enjoying another month of beach time at absolutely no extra cost to you.
